According to Microsoft,  Expression Suite is "a suite of tools for creative designers ...(read full quote in context)".  Because of quotes like this and the absence of some features that more "casual" users are accustomed to from products like "FrontPage", many have concluded that the new Expression is not for them.

Not True!!! Anyone can use Expression and be extraordinarily creative and productive.  Some users may simply want to have capabilities that are not delivered by Microsoft on the Expression products themselves.

Expression Web Is Just the Beginning

For anyone who may be concerned that Microsoft is abandoning the "little guy" in favors of "professionals" in the area of web site and application design - don't worry, we've got you covered.

First of all, the first public release of Expression Web from Microsoft is just that - the first release.  Microsoft has stated that they intend to make Expression the best tool on the market in it's class.  The first release of Front Page was pretty primitive compared to the last release of Front Page, too.  Keep that in mind.

Also, Microsoft has made Expression Web "extendable" in ways similar to Front Page.  You can be certain that whatever gaps there may be in the features and capabilities of Expression Web, third parties will rush in to fill.  We know that we will.
